Sung Poems - settings of Georg Trakl's poems by Harry Unger. With these settings harry Unger joins the Austro Liedtration of a Ludwig Hirsch. Harry Unger fills with his songs, the gloomy pictures in Trakl's poems, with a little light. Thus, the texts are not commented, but shrouded in fragile independent arrangements. Harry Unger works as a sound engineer, sound designer and live electronic musician at the German-speaking theater. He began his musical career as a guitarist with various pop rock formations. As a multi-instrumentalist, he composed, arranged and produced numerous stage and film scores. Trakl's work can be divided into four phases: The first phase refers to his spin-offs, which were strongly influenced by two influences, Nietzsche and the currents of Art Nouveau , and on the other hand the symbolism. In the works of this period, French models (Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Verlaine) seem to have been taken over by the partly rhetorical gestures, from the lyrical tradition.

In the second creative period (circa 1909-1912), the Expressionist style of arrangement, which he characterizes himself as "my pictorial manner, which in four strophic lines four individual parts of the picture to a single impression zusammenschmiedet." His later works (ca.1912-1914) lie in its third phase, which creates a great semantic openness through the high poetic suggestiveness of the images. This hermetic-abstract style, and the endeavor to obscure the unambiguous, forms an individualist style.

The last phase from 1914 until his death on 13 November 2014 includes many of his posthumously published works. It is characterized by his war experience and an archaic-apocalyptic tenor.
