The French musician and composer Volker Madert lives in the German-French border area of Saarland, where he devotes himself to his music and creates his sensitive and intuitive pieces of music. He has been playing the piano since he was 9 years old. Since then he has experienced a lot in his musical life. Competitions, radio appearances, concerts with his own band, and with learning to play the guitar, rock‘n roll also left its mark on him.
Music always carried him through his life. His new instrumental compositions, with harp and other instruments,
with mystical vocal collages, deviate from the usual rigid structures. They follow an intuitive playing that offers the musician a special freedom and which he calls “playing of the heart“. In addition to the artist‘s virtuosity, this intuitive ability accounts for the quality of his subtle music. Music that hits the listener in the heart and touches them deeply. Instead of the standard frequency of 440 Hz (usual tuning for musical instruments), Volker Madert used selected planetary sound frequency tunings for his compositions, based on calculations by Hans Cousto. This allows the artist to achieve a special playing feel. This individual type of composition enables Volker Madert to communicate with his listeners on a fine and deep sound level.
