REGARDING THE TOPIC OF HOW MUSIC IS CONSUMED TODAY - REGARDLESS OF THE TECHNICAL BACKGROUND - THE QUESTION ARRIVES: "AS A FAN, HOW DOES MY EMPATHY TOWARD "MY" ARTIST?"

THIS QUESTION IS GAINING INCREASING BURNER, ESPECIALLY IN OUR EVER MORE DITIGTALLY ORIENTED TIME. AS WELL KNOWN, ARTISTS AND LABELS RECEIVE ONLY MINIMUM MONEY FOR SALES AND STRAMS FOR DIGITAL SALES FROM MAJOR PLAYERS WORLDWIDE.
This topic concerns all of us in the independent music scene, and especially us as a music publisher, since we too have had to observe this special situation of our publishing artists for a long time.
Streaming is a modern and great way to offer works by artists worldwide and to promote our artists.
However, the flip side of the coin is that the usual compensation paid out by streaming sales at international corporations is only a fraction of the amount that artists receive for a CD sold directly by the publisher or an mp3 download.
Polygobe Music offers its entire music and text program here in its own web shop as CDs or as high-quality mp3 downloads. But of course our products are also available in streaming on almost all global internet platforms.
However, it makes a significant difference in the income of artists whether you stream their music from a company or whether you cultivate the idea of BUY LOCAL (in this case with the publisher) and thus promote artists.
